Challenges
ISIR research focuses on socio-technical and socio-cultural issues:
- Robotics: evolution of work exceeding human capabilities
- AI: task automation and societal damage
- Neuroscience: understanding morality, ethics and decision-making
Objectives
Our main objective is to explore our objects of study (within Robotics, AI, Neurosciences) beyond their techno-scientific dimension and promote their cultural dimension, with the following specific aims:
- Change points of view and step out of our cultural comfort zone
- Study interactions with techno-scientific cultural imaginaries
- Question tacit elements linked to the choice of our subjects and methodologies
- Question the uses of technologies and how they are perceived by non-expert audiences
- Enhancing the value of our technical heritage
Approach
We propose to bring together artistic and scientific practices.
We also want to diversify our scientific dissemination strategies
